How Often Should You See a Chiropractor?

· · 1 min read · Castelli Chiropractic Center

A movement-focused consultation in a bright wellness setting

There is no universal answer, and any provider offering one before examining you is guessing. Frequency depends on what the evaluation finds and how you respond.

What influences frequency

Several factors shape a reasonable schedule, and they change over time as your situation changes.

  • How long the problem has been present
  • Examination findings and how much motion is limited
  • Your daily demands, work, and activity level
  • How you respond to the first few visits
  • Your own goals and preferences

Care should be reviewed, not assumed

A reasonable plan includes review points. If care is helping, the plan may continue or taper. If it is not, the plan should change, and that may mean a different approach or a referral.

Ongoing visits

Some people choose periodic visits once their initial concern has settled, usually to support comfort during demanding work or activity. That is a personal decision made with your provider, and it should never be presented as a requirement or as a substitute for other medical care.
